“The middle is messy, but it is also where the magic happens.” -Brené Brown
The messy middle is hard, but we cannot grow and flourish into the truest version of ourselves unless we fight that battle. We are here to help you navigate through those murky waters with a holistic approach.
“We have learned that trauma is not just an event that took place sometime in the past; it is also the imprint left by that experience on mind, brain, and body. This imprint has ongoing consequences for how the human organism manages to survive in the present. Trauma results in a fundamental reorganization of the way mind and brain manage perceptions. It changes not only how we think and what we think about, but also our very capacity to think.“ -The Body Keeps The Score
We often don’t think about how much our past impacts who we are today, but it does. You may have noticed the added muscle tension when you get in a car after a car accident, or loud sounds such as fireworks remind you too much of a shooting that you may have witnessed. Abandonedment and attachment concerns, codependency, promiscuity, impulsivity, risky behaviors, and even antisocial behaviors can all stem from a traumatic event or events… and your body didn’t forget. It is so important to begin processing and truly understanding these events in order to not just survive, but to live and truly thrive in this life. I’d be honored to be by your side as we navigate through this murky middle once you’re ready to take the reins of your life.
